Hudson just, for the first time since his surgery, sought me out for attention. He buried his head in my lap (a typical Dane move.) Tony came to watch, since it's the first sign we've had that our Hudson was returning. H left me and went to Tony and leaned on him. Our first lean since surgery! My affectionate little mama's boy is back!
It was really hard for me after Hudson's surgery, when he would turn away from us when we offered affection. We both realize that he was on drugs and we can only guess what he may have been thinking, feeling and seeing. We know his reaction wasn't really him, so much as the drugs, but it was still really hard.
I have joyful tears on my cheeks right now, since he's sitting next to me on the couch nuzzling his head between my back and the couch. Normally I hate that. :D
